
Whipped these up this morning for my first foray in poached eggs, after seeing Dave make some last weekend. Not the prettiest eggs I have ever seen, and I could have taken them out a little sooner but they went well with this weekend’s pulled pork and the hollandaise sauce I tossed a little South Carolina Mustard BBQ Sauce in and some Man Hash Browns.

I stopped over at the Homebrew Emporium on Saturday to check out the annual Big Brew for National Homebrew Day, an event coordinated by the American Homebrew Association at homebrew shops across the nation. At Homebrew Emporium’s New York and Massachusetts locations they crafted over 600 gallons of Portions Proper English Dark Mild by over 125 different brewers. This year’s Big Brew also raised $1,375 and collected 330 pounds of food to benefit local food banks, including our own Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. It was a beautiful day to sample a few beers, grill, and brew big. Check it out!

A little New England Distilling mojito for Elise while she was sunbathing and reading a book yesterday. Me? I wasted away the entire day sitting on the couch recovering from Saturday’s fairly successful first BBQ with the $20 Weber turned 5AM bottle share.
