Alright guys. Took a little bit of a week off from the blog last week but I wanna get right back into it with some shots from the end of Troy Craft Beer Week. First up was a really fun festival at Riverfront Park called Troy On Tap. A great start to what I hope is an annual event. Not just volunteers but a lot of reps from each of the breweries present, a few exclusive beers, and of course tons of shenanigans (JENT’s silent disco was a LOT of fun).
In addition to the Fest I had the chance to check out a couple of smaller food events. The Grocery was pairing up tacos in their garden with Evil Twin beers, and although it was a hot one the tacos were great and the Nomader Weisse was refreshing. We ended the meal with a Duchessic which is always the right decision.
And of course before the Troy On Tap festival I needed to get a nice base layer of grease down to sustain that day’s drinking. I headed to the Ruck for the Cider Brunch, but the leftovers from the Firestone Walker and Jack’s Abby events earlier that week were too good not to wash down the pork loin and kale hash.
Overall this was a really great week for Downtown Troy and the craft beer scene in the Capital Region in general. It was a looong week but I was really happy to see so many businesses participate and bring some truly quality events to the table. I wish I could have to gone to even more of them but I’m not sure my body could have handled it. Really looking forward to what’s in store next year!
