Well, I’ve been neglecting the blog a bit lately but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been out there checking new things out. I may switch up the format of the homepage here to focus less on new posts and more on recommendations of my favorite regional spots, but that will take a little bit. In the meantime I’m going to play catch up on some visits with some short posts, some new, some you may have seen on Facebook.
I had the opportunity to go check out Other Half Brewing Company in Carroll Gardens with the folks from Craft Beer Guild of NY. It was a private tour of the space while checking out their extremely tasty offerings. Other Half is making some of the best IPAs in New York State so I was happy to check them all out in their natural habitat. Dan from Suarez Family Brewing was also hanging out that day, so it was nice catch up with the owner from my most anticipated brewery in New York State and check out the sumac mixed fermentation beer they were collaborating on that day. Their beer is flowing pretty regularly in the Capital Region, but a visit is definitely worth a shot if you’re doing some traveling down that way. Check ’em out.
