It’s totally normal to pour an entire 22 oz bomber into a wine glass, right?

Long Trail Brewmaster Series Coffee Stout is going down nicely tonight. Almost black in color with a tan head and great lacing. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malts in the nose. Dark chocolate is prevalent on the initial taste giving way to some light coffee followed up with dark roasted espresso on the backend that sticks around on the tip of your tongue. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied (could be a little bit thicker) with medium carbonation. Overall just another great beer from the Long Trail Brewmaster Series, much like their Double IPA.

$3 for an 8% beer is nothing to complain about, either.

Bridgewater Cors, VT: Vintage Yuengling Cans at Long Trail Brewing Co. [Beer]

Took this while at Long Trail Brewery on a visit there during my birthday week last year. I immediately got a ticket on the way home, obviously. Anyways, they have an extremely interesting collection of old vintage beer cans on several of the walls in their seating area. I could pretty much sit there checking them all out and sip on their Double IPA all day.

Long Trail Brewing Company – Double IPA (Brewmaster Series)

What is this, double IPA week or what? Might as well end the week with a couple of more of my favorite DIPAs. The first one comes from Long Trail’s Brewmasters Series, which are definitely the cream of the crop for the brewery. This one recently went year-round which I’m totally A-OK with.

This is an extremely well-balanced IPA. No gimmicks here, just some slight maltyness, some slight citrusy, floral hops and a nice bitter finish. This isn’t an IPA that stands out above the rest, but it’s still a very good IPA that’s a steal for the $4-5 bottle price that goes down very easy for it’s 8.6% ABV. The perfect beer for summer.

I’m pretty sure this is the first revision of the Mountain Brew Beer Ice can design.
