Lionheart Winterfest Beer Social 2013 – February 7th

Lionheart is ramping up for their next big event, the Winterfest Beer Social. Check out the lineup they have planned:

  • Featured Beer: 2001 Samichlaus Bier (HOUSE AGED VINTAGE RARITY)
  • Corsendonk Christmas Ale
  • Dubuisson Frères sprl Scaldis Noel
  • Oskar Blues Gubna Imperial IPA
  • Einbecker Winter-Bock
  • Bear Republic Racer X Double IPA
  • North Coast Old Rasputin
  • Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous
  • Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
  • Abita Christmas Ale
  • Hoppin’ Frog Frog’s Hollow Double Pumpkin Ale
  • Lagunitas Sucks Holiday Ale
  • Southern Tier Old Man Winter Ale
  • Southern Tier Krampus Imperial Helles
  • Southern Tier Pumking
  • Southern Tier 2Xmas
  • Troegs Mad Elf
  • Emelisse Winterbier

Pretty eclectic tap list they have there. Nice way to catch up on some Christmas and even some fall beers you may have missed. (Actually, I’m just going to go ahead and say Pumking is a year-round beer at this point.) Sucks is getting it’s 15 minutes of fame in a big way right now, stealing it’s thunder from the classic Winter IPA, Celebration Ale. And I’m definitely looking forward to checking out the 2001 Samichlaus and the Emelisse Winterbier the most. How about you?

Southern Tier Beer Social at The Lionheart Pub – Nov 8th [Upcoming Events]

  • Pumking
  • Krampus
  • Oak Aged Unearthly
  • Gemini
  • Mokah
  • Creme Brulee

  • Choklat
  • Back Burner
  • Southern Tier IPA
  • Harvest
  • 2X IPA
  • 2X Stout

Pretty solid lineup for the Southern Tier fans out there. Awesome to see a tap takeover like this in the area that isn’t for Dogfish Head or just three or four kegs of a brewery’s beers. (Not that I don’t enjoy DFH tap takeovers, but I do like to see new and different things in the area.)

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Backburner, my current favorite beer from Southern Tier, is missing but I’m sure it’s pretty difficult to get your hands on a keg of the stuff. However, those looking for it can find it on tap at The Bier Abbey right now.
